June 22nd, 2010Medium Format
June 18th, 2010I recently picked up a Yashica Mat 124G from ebay. Hasn’t arrived yet, it’s coming from South Dakota. I’ve been a bit bored as of late with digital, and have been impressed with the images created by medium format cameras, specifically the 6×6 kind. In the process of waiting for it to arrive, I have been pouring over websites about the Yashica Mat; getting a jump start on figuring out how it will work.

Few interesting Medium Format Links:

TESTING OUT TYPE KIT
April 30th, 2010Add a line of code to your pages and choose from hundreds of fonts. Simple, bulletproof, standards compliant, accessible, and totally legal.
Installation was pretty simple, just add a line of javascript to the page head, then add a tag to your div, span etc. to switch in your font.
Pretty neat, try it out here

This American Life
February 17th, 2010I have been listening to This American Life on the walk into work in the mornings. Timing is perfect each show is an hour in length. The same duration of the walk.
It’s hard to explain what the TAL is about, or why it is so addictive. You really just have to give it a listen… TAL
Also in a similar vain is Radio Lab
The radio and TV shows follow the same format. There’s a theme to each episode, and a variety of stories on that theme. It’s mostly true stories of everyday people, though not always. There’s lots more to the show, but, like we said, it’s sort of hard to describe. Probably the best way to understand the show is to start at our favorites page, though we have full guides to our TV show and our radio show, with clips. If you want to dive into the hundreds of episodes we’ve done over the years, there’s an archive of all our old radio shows and listings for all our TV episodes, too.
