My task on this project was split into two: image preperation for approximately 10 articles on three sites (Macleans, Canadian Business, and L'Actualite), and developing the video player for each series. The image preperation is the boring part, but the video player is a bit more interesting. The video player uses actionscript and google analytics to track how may times the video has been played, stoped. The page itself also uses google anayltics to track which items on the page have been clicked on, which I also set up.

Developed initial homepage design, then we handed off to an outside vendor to complete interior pages and coding. The mockup was developed based on print assets.
Project: TeenFlare Site

I developed the design based on the Flare magazine art-directors feedback, producing a site that appeals to a younger audience. It has been designed so that the Teenflare producers can make easy and quick updates to the content. This is one of the bigger site designs I have done recenlty.

Design was to resemble the swiss corporate site. I layed out the initial home page design; giving the look and feel, then handed this off to another designer to complete the remaining interior pages. Coding was completed by an outside vendor.

A one-pager for the Citytv New Years bash. The creative was basically started from scratch working with the logo that was provided I created a design that had an urban feel. This was then coded in css. Also developed following a similar look was a series of web banners.

Project: Clean Car 101

Contest and troduct site for Armor All. I created a flash interface on the homepage, that allowed users to rollover hotspots to see what product was recommended. I also created a series of web banners for this project.
Project: Picky Eaters Contest
Client: all you need is Cheese

Working from an already produced print ad, I created the site design for the Picky Eaters Contest. Users upload a recipe, and enter to win a prize, and chance to have the recipe published in Today's Parents Magazine. Site consisted of a home, contest page, and tips page. Development was done by an external firm.

I was brought into Rogers as a freelance designer. My role on these projects was to create various banners; design and production. They range from gif ads, to more animation heavy flash ads. For the most part these ads are developed from an already existing print piece.
Project: the Co-operators Adventure Contest

Designed a contest website for the Co-operators adeventure contest. Users can uplaod pictures for a chance to win a holiday. Design for this was created from scratch, since there was no print component.

Project: Real Cream Contest Site
Client: Real Cream (Canadian Dairy Farmers)

Task was to create a contest site for Real Cream. Site was to promote the use of Real Cream, in your everyday cooking to kick things up a notch. User would be able to view four recipies and enter a contest to win a prize. I used the Canadian Dairy Farmers website to influence this site design, and keep things consistant.

Designed a one page contest page for Tourism Toronto and City Tv. Contest also had a video feature. Media was also created for this project.

"Alex Cleary is a New Media designer residing in the Greater Toronto Area.
